An Ami in Berlin

An Ami is an affectionate nickname for "American." "The Amis" are "The Americans." Since most of my German friends grew up on the "other" side of the wall, I am their "Ami" friend. I'm also mom to Timothy, David and Becca, and wife and friend to Tim.

We'll leave the light on for ya!

Would you like to visit me? Got a month? If you are living in Montrose, it will only take you about 29 days and 16 hours, according to Google Directions. It is 4,507 miles from here to Montrose. Isn't that great? If David wants to run the 4th again, he just needs to leave in early June. I knew there was a cheaper way than KLM, and now I have it.

Would you like to see how far it is? Or would you like to come to see us?

Well, go to Google. Click on maps. Click on "get directions." Then put in your city and Berlin, Germany. It will tell you exactly how to get here. Follow the directions, making sure you read down the directions when you get to New York.

And laugh your head off. This is inspired by Heidi, who told me about this, and Ruth, whose blog entry about cancelling credit cards before you die is inspiration, pure.

Uh, you might want to cancel your credit cards before you take this trip. Thanks for that important tip, Ruth! (go to her blog).

Enjoy!
