An Ami in Berlin

An Ami is an affectionate nickname for "American." "The Amis" are "The Americans." Since most of my German friends grew up on the "other" side of the wall, I am their "Ami" friend. I'm also mom to Timothy, David and Becca, and wife and friend to Tim.

No more electric typewriters . . .

We are a far cry from my graduation, when I received the latest in portable electric typewriters. At one point I dropped it (it weighed a ton), and after that it was touch and go (excuse the pun).
Hurray for cyber space! Don't be fooled by the picture--the only thing I had to do with picking out the gift was saying "Uh huh. Yea. Sounds fine. Mmmm. . . .
...THAT much??!!"
Tim's comment to Timothy when he opened it: "Wanna trade?"
Tim's comment to me: "Thou shalt not covet."

Timothy,

What a great laptop. Just make sure that your mom doesn't abscond with it! And by all means don't let your cousin Liz Anne know how nice it is!!! It will definitely come in handy at Covenant.
